2021 Honda Pilot for Sale in Lincoln, RI
Adventure-lovers and weekend warriors of all kinds will find that there’s nothing left to be desired with the 2021 Honda Pilot. As one of the best-selling midsized crossovers in the country, this vehicle certainly bolsters a significant amount of street cred that has been developed over its long run in the industry. For the upcoming model year, some upgrades have been made to this already stellar seven- or-eight-passenger three-row SUV. For starters, there’s a debuting Special Edition, a new nine-speed automatic transmission, and expansion of standard dual-zone automatic climate control across all trim levels. For a car of this size, it’s also quite fuel-efficient, returning 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway for the front-wheel drive models and 19 city/26 highway for the all-wheel drive models.
Trims and Powertrain
The 2021 Honda Pilot is available in seven trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Special Edition, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. Most of these trims come with seating for eight passengers; however, second-row captain’s chairs that are available on the Touring and standard on the Elite and Black Edition reduce seating to seven. Power for every model in the lineup is made from a 280 hp and 262 lb.-ft. of torque 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s joined to a nine-speed automatic transmission. FWD is standard for all models except for the Elite and Black Edition, both of which receive AWD.
Comfort and Convenience
The base LX gets remote entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, and a 60/40 split flat-folding third-row bench seat that helps with accommodating oversized cargo. The EX adds heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, LED fog lights, tri-zone automatic climate control with front- and second-row ventilation, a conversation mirror, one-touch second-row seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats. The EX-L provides memory functions for the side mirrors and driver’s seat, a moonroof, a power tailgate, a HomeLink remote system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, and leather seating.
The all-new Special Edition sets itself apart from those lower trims with a hands-free liftgate, roof rails, and a wireless phone charger. The Touring yields parking sensors, LED headlights, blue ambient interior lighting, heated second-row outboard seats, and available perforated second-row captain’s chairs. The Elite has standard second-row captain’s chairs, rain-sensing windshield wipers, power-folding and auto-dimming side mirrors, a panoramic roof, a heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated front seats. The ultimate trim, the Black Edition, adds black exterior accents and red ambient interior lighting.
Safety and Technology
Every 2021 Honda Pilot model comes with the Honda Sensing suite of active driver aids. This exceptional standard package includes collision mitigation braking, a road departure mitigation system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. All trims also get automatic high beams, while the Special Edition adds a blind-spot information system with rear cross-traffic monitor.
The LX’s simple yet sufficient infotainment system has a 5-inch screen, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming, and a seven-speaker audio system; there’s a USB port in the front console and 12-volt power outlets in the front and center console. The EX and EX-L both upgrade to an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a HondaLink system, SMS text message functionality, and satellite and HD radio. The Touring and remaining trims top off get integrated navigation, voice recognition, a Blu-Ray rear entertainment system with 10.2-inch screens, a 115-volt power outlet, a second-row HDMI interface, an in-car PA system, a 10-speaker audio system, HondaLink subscription services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and multi-zone audio.
