2021 Honda Odyssey for Sale in Lincoln, RI
The seven- or-eight passenger Honda Odyssey has always been popular, even with the decline of minivan sales in this age of the SUV. This comfortable and spacious vehicle, which is often used to transport multiple generations of a family, is starting its own new generation with a redesign for the 2021 model year. With a reconfigurable interior that boasts plenty of standard features and an ample dose of comfort, it proves that a minivan is still often the best solution. Even the powertrain stands out, with its smooth handling and strong output.
So how does the all-new Odyssey differ from the outgoing model? On the outside, it gets brand-new LED headlights, a redesigned blackout grille and lower front fascia, and new fog light housings. Inside, it flaunts revised climate controls and new second-row seatbacks that fold flat for easier removal. The EX and higher trims acquire new tri-colored floor mats and illuminated USB ports, while the EX-L and above come with restyled seats, power lumbar support for the front passenger’s seat, and second-row seatback pockets. The Touring and Elite grades get perforated leather for the first- and second-row seats, and for the first time ever, the base LX receives the full suite of active-safety aids. Finally, an industry-first rear-seat camera and reminder are included on the Touring and Elite trims.
Honda is issuing the 2021 Odyssey in five trim levels: the LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The powertrain consists of a V6 engine (280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque) and a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. All versions achieve an EPA-estimated 19 mpg around town and 28 mpg on the highway.
The base LX comes with a series of desirable features, including LED headlights, rear privacy glass, remote keyless entry, a rearview camera, automatic climate control, push-button ignition, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, a one-motion 60/40-split third-row Magic Seat, and seating for up to seven passengers. The EX gets power sliding doors, heated side mirrors with built-in turn-signal indicators, Smart Entry with Walk-Away Auto Lock, LED fog lights, tri-zone automatic climate control, Magic Slide second-row seats (for eight-passenger seating), additional power adjustments for the driver’s seat, and heated front seats.
The EX-L adds memory functions for the side mirrors and driver’s seat, a moonroof, a power tailgate, a HomeLink remote system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstered first- and second-row seats, and additional power adjustments for the front passenger’s seat. The Touring gets front and rear parking sensors and ambient interior lighting, and the Elite adds a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and a hands-free liftgate.
Safety and Technology
All trims come with the Honda Sensing suite of active safety aids: collision mitigation braking, a road departure mitigation system, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. The LX also gets lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. The remaining trims are supplied with a blind-spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic monitor.
The base infotainment system in the LX includes a 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming, a seven-speaker audio system, and a center console USB port. The EX moves up to an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite and high-def radio, HondaLink, and a front console USB port. The Touring comes with an in-car PA system, a rear seat Blu-Ray entertainment system with a pair of 10.2-inch HD screens, a household-style power outlet, an HDMI interface, integrated navigation, a rear seat monitor, an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot, and various HondaLink subscription services. The Elite maxes out the bells and whistles with an 11-speaker audio system and a wireless phone charger.
