New Honda 2019 Honda Pilot for Sale in Lincoln, RI
There are few in the three-row SUV segment that can compete with the Pilot in regard to spacious interior, performance, and clever storage compartments. The standard active safety features and technology offered with the 2019 Pilot should not be overlooked. As expected, the standard features for the Honda Pilot vary across the trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The Elite lives up to its name by including luxuries such as wireless device charging, a panoramic sunroof, and heated seats for all three rows.
Trims and Standard Features
Some minor styling changes were made to the exterior for the ‘19 model year, including a redesigned grille and bumpers, and a new fascia with streamlined turn signal lights and larger fog lights. The Honda Sensing Suite for safety and a rearview camera are now standard across all trim levels of the Pilot, and the infotainment touchscreen has been updated. The nine-speed transmission has also been improved to provide more seamless shifting between gears, and LED headlights are now standard.
Other optional technologies include Honda’s CabinControl, which gives passengers the ability to control the rear entertainment system as well as the climate controls. CabinTalk gives the front-seat occupants the ability to communicate to rear-seat passengers through the speaker system, as well as via the wireless headphones that come with the Elite trim as part of the Advanced Rear Entertainment System.
Safety and Technology
All trims get vehicle stability assist with traction control, plus a multi-angle rearview camera, with guidelines on the base and dynamic guidelines on the other three trims. The three highest trims are equipped with the Honda Sensing active safety package: adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, collision mitigating braking system, and road departure mitigation.
The base audio/information/communication system comes with four speakers and a 5-inch color screen; it’s compatible with Bluetooth HandsFree, Bluetooth Streaming Audio, and Pandora. Upgrades to the system start on the EX trim, with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, SMS texting function, and an enhanced six-speaker audio system. The Touring trim gets a 330-watt premium audio system with nine speakers. Depending on the trim level, ’19 CR-Vs have one or two USB audio interface ports plus two second-row charging ports and two 12V power outlets. The vehicle information display on the base LX shows instant and average fuel economy, outside temperature, odometer, miles left in the tank, and more. This is upgraded to a Driver Information Interface on the other three trims to show those features as well as the driver attention monitor, phone activity, trip computer, navigation, and – on AWD models – torque distribution to each wheel.
